Description
The work speaks of a sleeping winter river where only small mice move quietly through the frozen reeds. They are woven into the flow of ornament and become visible only upon closer look, like silent messengers between dreams and the waking world. The piece explores stillness, rhythm, and the fragile border between motion and rest. This original batik is hand-painted on natural silk using traditional hot-wax and acrylic layers. The technique creates translucent colour gradients and textures that cannot be repeated.
