In 2021, Smithdown Social Arts Hub collaborated with local creative artist, musician, and inclusive culture consultant Saphena Aziz, to develop a micro-commissions project for a group of 10 Liverpool based artists from various culturally diverse backgrounds to showcase their work on our newly developed digital platform.
Saphena put forward artists to exhibit their work across the four genres Smithdown Social Arts Hub supports on our creative platform: art, literature, film, and music. These micro-commissions have created further opportunities at the Arts Hub for a number of these artists, who have either provided music at a book launch, further art exhibitions, delivered art classes to the community, or have projects in development.
Thank you to Saphena and all the artists who participated!
