Additional Information:

Initially a response to the landscape, and weather of the coast and mountains of North Wales, the current series of work ‘Un Milltir Sgwâr One Square Mile’ came from lockdown restrictions, when daily walks had to begin and end at home. A daily photographic exploration of the local landscape in 2020 – 2021 developed into a series of ‘en plain air’ watercolours exploring autumn light and colour in her local woodland.

Winter 2022 restricted access to this woodland and led to an ongoing fascination with the changing light, colours and weather upon the local landscape beyond the studio window. I find the innate uncontrollability of watercolours work gives an immediacy and direct response to the landscape whether it be outside or through the studio window.
