Art Classes at Gallery 455.

Gallery 455 offers a variety of art classes to keep the creative juices flowing in the community. We offer a variety of art classes at Gallery 455 in collaboration with some great art tutors! We are currently running Life Drawing with Toc O'Connell from Liverpool Independent Art School (LIAS) and Art Classes with Elsa Parkin that invites both beginners and advanced artists to join in whether you wish to improve your skills or just have some fun! Live Drawing classes are £15 which includes cost of model and tutor. Art Classes with Elsa Parkin is £10 per class. You can turn up on the day or pay for classes in advance at Gallery 455.

Peter Cameron inadvertently took up art whilst serving a nine year prison sentence in 1987, “I had intended to learn Spanish but the class was too chaotic and I somehow ended up in the art class that was run by the now acclaimed cartoonist Steve Best (Bestie) where I copied a photograph of two chimpanzees about to make their space debut from a back issue of the National Geographic. Steve works from Hub Studios in Cains Brewery Village, Liverpool. He particularly likes to work with inks and acrylics, although he does produce work in pastel, charcoal and watercolour. Most of his paintings are loosely based on places he has visited and his drawings are generally illustrative and fantasy.
